BOAT BUILDING

The building of our boats is an endless pursuit for perfection based upon our physical experiences with the sea. Using the wide range of resources available to us we can build the finest quality vessels with meticulous results. Norman R. Wright & Sons are able to build the vessels as follows:

- Commercial boats

All vessels built at NRW are constructed in fully engineered hand laminated epoxy bonded composites or with advanced epoxy bonded timber structures, depending entirely on client choice and vessel application. We also tank test the vessels to confirm performance characteristics of a design prior to commencing construction.

Currently Norman R. Wright & Son's facilities include 3 slipways capable of slipping vessels 30' to the 120' (120 tonne limit). From sailing yachts to motor boats, the yard can provide access to services ranging from:

Norman R. Wright & Sons Design offers full in-house service including:

Our in-house design team consists of one Naval Architect & two highly experienced Boat Builders, augmented by capable marine draftsmen, with a combined experience of 120 years and an extensive portfolio of successful vessel designs.

From the initial proposal to the launch of the vessel, we provide the clients with a complete in-house service for all of their needs. We can work in conjunction with the clients representative and interior designer if required. Depending on the clients' requirements, the vessel can be designed to meet standards for local or international authorities.
