HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED WITH NRW?
I have been doing NRW paint work since 1996 (25yrs).
HOW DID THE ORIGINAL RELATIONSHIP DEVELOP?
Back in 1996 I worked for Superyacht Solutions as a Project Manager and looked after all NRW paint work. In 2002 I parted ways with SYS and approached Bill Wright about a reference and got a blunt NO from Bill……after a long pause Bill said that they are constructing a 60 foot long range cruiser and if I could put a team together it’s all mine. That was in 2002, since then we have faired and painted all NRW boats including 7 Pilot boats, 6 City Cats and recreational builds Odern, Anuha, Lionheart amongst others along with refits on Laura J, Pipeliner, Whitehaven, Hurrica, Quandamooka, Annabelle, LLewelyn and the list goes on.
YOU ARE A LONG SERVING SUPPLIER OF NRW. WHY IS THAT THE CASE?
We both have the same objective to produce a quality product time and time again and will both go over and above to deliver that quality.
WHAT DO YOUR TEAM LIKE ABOUT WORKING WITH NRW?
From working with the team on the floor to the ease of communication with the management we all have an understanding how we both operate and the new facility they built is just outstanding.
WHY HAVE NRW REMAINED SO SUCCESSFUL FOR SO LONG?
Firstly the quality of the product and having a very experienced team that is constantly growing, and the diversity of the product that they can build from luxury yachts to commercial boats to composite houses and world class bespoke staircases.
WHAT WOULD BE ONE OF THE HIGH LIGHT PROJECTS YOU CALLABORATED ON AND WHY?
For me it’s Lionheart… the challenge to produce perfect lines and immaculate paint work on over 1000m2 is very personally satisfying not to mention the very unique suede interior painting.
